Experience
Sullivan's Steakhouse
Prime steaks, strong martinis, and live jazz

About this experience
Set inside the historic Creamery Building on Glenwood Avenue, Sullivan's Steakhouse is downtown Raleigh's lively corner of Glenwood South — where a classic chophouse meets a bustling neighborhood bar. The room hums with conversation, clinking martini glasses, and live music from local musicians most nights of the week, striking a balance between white-tablecloth polish and easy, regulars-at-the-bar warmth.
The food
The menu is built around hand-cut, dry-aged steaks, finished with your choice of signature butters and house sauces. But the kitchen earns its reputation with more than just beef:
- Raw & starters — tempura lobster tails, charbroiled oysters with Cajun butter, lemon, and Parmesan
- Salads — the classic iceberg wedge and a proper Caesar
- Chops & seafood — filets, ribeyes, strip steaks, plus fresh fish and lobster
- Sides — steakhouse staples done right: creamed spinach, truffle fries, loaded potatoes
The bar
The cocktail program leans into the classics — crisp, cold Knockout Martinis, an extensive bourbon and scotch list, and a wine program that goes deep on bold reds.
The vibe
Sullivan's hits the sweet spot between date-night destination and after-work hang. Come for a celebration steak dinner, a nightcap at the bar, or a Friday night where the music carries the room.
